Designed and curated by Aisle & Co., a Columbus event design and creative direction studio, this holiday pop-up reimagines what festive hospitality can look like—warm, moody, and completely unforgettable. This isn’t the first time we’ve played a role as this hotel’s choice for a Columbus Event Designer, we have also designer their holiday installation the past three years and had the honor of planning the hotels Grand Opening Party 3 years ago!
A Holiday Pop-Up With a Columbus Event Designer’s Touch
As Columbus event designers, our team wanted to create something completely different from traditional holiday décor. No green-and-gold, no predictable winter wonderland—just a full-scale, monochromatic red world dripping in velvet, metallics, and atmosphere.
The goal? To design a holiday bar that wasn’t just decorated, but transportive.
The Concept: A Moody, Playful, Red-On-Red Escape
The Santa Baby pop-up is built on a single, confident idea: immerse guests in red.
We layered the space with:
✔️ Floor-to-ceiling red velvet draping
✔️ Lacquered red cocktail tables
✔️ Brass stools and glowing lamps
✔️ Tinsel trees and wrapped “gifts”
✔️ Photo-worthy corners at every turn
The result is a room that feels both theatrical and intimate—an ambiance full of warmth, nostalgia, and the kind of glamour that invites guests to lean in, sip slowly, and celebrate.
Design Details from the Aisle & Co. Team
As a Columbus event design team, we focused heavily on texture, lighting, and mood to drive the experience.
Texture
Velvet, tinsel, satin, lacquered surfaces, soft upholstery—all chosen for their depth and dimension.
Lighting
Small brass table lamps created warm pools of light, ideal for cocktails, date nights, and capturing that perfect holiday photo.
Playful Moments
A custom billfold, cloche-lift dishes with theatric smoke, and red martini-glass moments brought the “Santa Baby” personality to life.
A Menu Made for the Holidays
The Junto team crafted a festive food and beverage menu designed to pair with the space. Think:
