Planning a tented wedding in Ohio takes equal parts precision, creativity, and calm flexibility—and this stunning New Albany estate wedding was the perfect example of why having an experienced Ohio wedding planner matters. With two full sailcloth tents, an expansive cocktail hour around the pool, and a full-scale outdoor production spread across the property, this celebration was a masterclass in thoughtful planning and preparation.
On June 28th, Liza and Austin welcomed 184 guests to her family’s home for a timeless, elegant, and joy-filled celebration. Our Aisle & Co. team handled everything from vendor coordination to rain-contingency planning, multi-day setup management, custom logistics, and guest flow across the estate. Their day was beautiful not despite the weather—but because preparation made space for joy, no matter what.

Why Tented Weddings in Ohio Require Expert Planning
Outdoor events in the Midwest are breathtaking—but they’re also complex. Between unpredictable weather, long load-in timelines, generator needs, flooring logistics, and the choreography of guest movement between tents, tented weddings ask for an elevated level of coordination.
For this wedding, two separate tents were required:
- A dinner tent dressed in hydrangeas, soft blues, and tailored details
- A dancing tent complete with stage, chandeliers, bar setups, lounges, and a live painter
Every vendor load-in was managed across multiple days, with structured delivery windows from Wednesday through Saturday (ACC Tent, Event Source, Aiden & Grace, NACC, Prema, Grace K Design, and more). We oversaw staging, power, lighting, flooring, rentals, and all vendor transitions to ensure the estate stayed protected and the production ran smoothly.
This is where an experienced Ohio wedding planner becomes essential—not only coordinating the design vision, but also protecting the property, creating safe guest pathways, managing backups, and keeping every moving part aligned.
An Estate Wedding Designed Around Movement, Experience & Hospitality
The Arrival & Ceremony
Liza and Austin exchanged vows at Broad Street Presbyterian Church before making a vintage-car entrance back home for cocktail hour. Inside the estate, our team prepared each detail ahead of their arrival—from steaming attire to organizing personal items to styling stationery, rings, and florals for photography.
Poolside Cocktail Hour
Guests were greeted with:
- A chic blue-and-white poolside lounge setup
- Custom umbrellas
- A champagne-filled welcome wall
- Live oyster shucking from Blue Ember Oysters
We coordinated all catering, barware, rentals, guest flow, and staffing with New Albany Country Club and outside vendors.
Dinner in the Sailcloth Tent
The dinner tent featured long kings tables layered with blue patterned linens, crisp white chivari chairs, hydrangea runners, and soft lamp lighting—classic, refined, and incredibly inviting. Guests enjoyed a curated menu by NACC, a champagne tower pour, and heartfelt toasts as the sun began to set.
The layout of this tent demanded intentional sightlines, ventilation planning, electrical supply, and floral installations—all of which required early collaboration with Prema Designs, Event Source, and Grace K Design.
The Dancing Tent & After-Dark Energy
The second tent transformed into a lively coastal-inspired dance floor with:
- A custom stage façade
- Lamp-shade floral installs
- Live music from The Music City Sound
- A late-night spread of White Castle + Krispy Kreme
Our team synchronized the timeline so guests moved seamlessly from dinner to dancing while the band led a New Orleans-style transition. Even with rain in the area, umbrellas were distributed, pathways were safe, and guests remained comfortable.
How We Navigated Rain + Multi-Tent Logistics
Ohio weather is always unpredictable—especially for estate weddings.
For this day, we tracked several storm cells throughout setup and wedding day. Because tented weddings require proactive planning, we had:
- Multiple rain plans for cocktail hour, dinner, and the transition to the dancing tent
- A structured generator plan (one for lights + fans, one reserved for band power)
- Flooring and landscaping protections
- Umbrella distribution + coverage points
- Vendor reassignment plans if grounds became too soft
- Photography adjustments for portraits during clear sky windows
This preparation ensured the couple, families, and guests never felt rushed or concerned—even when showers passed over the property. Everything felt natural, easy, and elevated.

What Makes Aisle & Co. the Go-To Ohio Wedding Planner for Tented Events
Tented weddings are a completely different category of planning—closer to building a temporary venue from the ground up than simply styling an event.
Our team specializes in:
- Multi-day load-in and teardown coordination
- Site mapping and tent logistics
- Power plans, lighting maps, and vendor sequencing
- Designing around landscapes, homes, and architectural features
- Protecting private property during large productions
- Weather-responsive timeline and layout adjustments
- Guest flow and transportation strategy
- Luxury hospitality layered into every touchpoint
We believe that tented weddings should feel effortless for couples and families—even though the behind-the-scenes work is incredibly detailed.
