Cassidy and Chris’s wedding was the kind of lakeside celebration that feels like a dream—effortlessly elegant, deeply personal, and beautifully Northern Michigan.
Held at the charming and historic Hotel Walloon, the entire weekend was crafted as an intimate getaway for their closest family and friends. Guests traveled in for a full weekend of celebration, all staying together at the hotel, which created a close-knit atmosphere full of laughter, champagne toasts, and lakefront lounging.
Set against the serene waters of Walloon Lake, Cassidy and Chris leaned into the region’s natural beauty while still delivering a classically elevated wedding day. The couple, who live in Northern Michigan, wanted their guests to experience everything they love about their lakeside lifestyle—relaxed yet refined, with fresh air and fresh flowers in abundance.
The ceremony took place just steps from the water, framed by soft summer florals in a romantic pastel palette. After saying “I do,” the couple made their grand getaway on a vintage wooden boat, complete with sunglasses, champagne, and wide smiles. The ride was pure magic—effortless and joyful, like something out of a timeless film.
A sailcloth tent housed their reception on the hotel’s manicured grounds, where guests dined al fresco, danced under twinkle lights, and took in views of the lake into the evening. Thoughtful details like parasols for shade and custom cocktails brought it all together in style.
